BIOGRAPHY
Louis E. Bugniazet
Louis Eugene Bugniazet was born on August 16, 1911, in New York, his father, Gustav, was 32 and his mother, Mary Doyle Bugniazet was 28.
He had two brothers Edward and
Joseph
. In Rye his family lived at
4 Horton St.
and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Louis was a graduate of Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx..
He enlisted March 12, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a corporal participating in the Normandy Invasion and the Liberation of Paris. Louis was later
wounded in November 1944
, by an artillery blast and awarded
the Purple Heart
. He was honorably discharged on October 9, 1945
Louis returned to Rye and married Christina Kerr on February 9, 1946 and they would have two children. For many years he worked as a security guard at Norden Systems Inc. in Norwalk CT.
Louis moved to Palmetto, FL from Rye in 1979. He was the owner of a restaurant and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church
Louis E Bugniazet died April 26, 1990 in Palmetto, FL. He was 78.
At the time of his death he was survived by his wife Christina, a daughter Janet M Lent of Mount Kisco NY, a son David of Chicago and a grandchild.
